INAUGURAL EGG DROP RULES
You are to design and construct a container for an egg, which will be dropped from the roof of Payette Brewing facing the beer garden at TWO different heights. First height is roughly 11 ft. and the second height is roughly 22 ft. The container should keep the egg from breaking upon impact with the ground.
Cushing materials such as cotton balls, balloons, paper towels, cardboard, tape, glue, straws, paper, parachutes, etc. Get creative!
The design must allow easy opening and closing for egg inspection. The design will be weighed upon arrival to the egg drop site. Designs with a lower mass receive a higher score.
You are REQUIRED to bring your own egg.
Boiling an egg = immediate disqualification!
Balloons or balloon type devices may only be inflated by human breath. (No helium!)
Styrofoam is not allowed in any form!
No glass, chemical containers, thick wood (such as 2x4), and metal (except for conjunction items such as screws, staples, paperclips, etc.)!
Liquids are not allowed!
